What to Bring for Rentals

Dressing appropriately for your kayak or stand up paddleboard rental ensures you’ll have a great experience.  If in doubt, please bring extra clothing and our staff can advise you of what’s best for the weather on the day of your rental.   If you have any questions regarding the list below, please contact us.

  • Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard) and matching photo identification.
  • A Youth Waiver for all those under 19, signed by their legal guardian.
  • Clothing material should be quick drying nylon, synthetic or wool (no cotton).
  • Waterproof rain jacket with hood (for wind or rain)
  • Warm sweater or light jacket in spring and fall
  • Shoes for in the kayak (e.g. old running shoes or sport sandals) or to walk to the launch for paddleboarding
  • Sun hat, sunscreen, sunglasses with secured neck string (all available to purchase at our locations)
  • Change of clothes including footwear, in case you get wet
  • Snacks and water bottle
  • Money for pay parking (there is limited free parking for up to 3 hours on Granville Island)
