We travel together by boat to a sheltered beach in the Broken Group Islands, where we launch our kayaks for the trip. Here we unload our equipment and guide you through how to pack the kayaks. From the onset of our trip you will be well informed on how to use and care for the equipment.
We always travel as a group and stay close together, traveling at a moderate pace. Our arrival time at camp depends on the physical ability of the group and the weather conditions we experience. Your guides will help you locate an appropriate tenting spot and assist you in getting organized and settled. Sometimes we keep our camp in one location for the duration of the trip and do day trips from the site, other times we may choose to move the camp during the trip. We try to organize our trips to satisfy both active adventurers and those looking for a relaxing vacation. We hope you will agree that we have found the right balance.
Our arrival time is meant to allow time to travel to Nanaimo to board a ferry to mainland British Columbia, or continue on to other Vancouver Island destinations. Please be advised that there is the possibility that weather or other conditions could delay our return time, so plan accordingly.
