Level One Instructor Paddle Canada Level One Ocean Kayak Instructor Challenge yourself. Over five days we will test for Level Two skills and fine tune instructional technique. Level two experience (a minimum of one overnight trip) is required and wilderness first aid training is recommended. This is the place to start if you have solid kayaking and teaching experience and need certification to instruct. Cost does not include your kayak or basic kayak gear, but does cover your Paddle Canada membership for the year. Basic First Aid and CPR certifications are required in order to complete this certification. Prerequisites Paddle Canada Level 2 Skills Personal paddling experience in light and moderate sea conditions or higher including overnight days - extended trips of 2 or more days totaling 10 overnights. Wilderness first aid (16 hours) with CPR is strongly recommended. Marine VHF Radio License is recommended.
