Area Description:
Including: Sechelt Inlet, Pender Harbour, Princess Louisa Inlet
"The stretch of Coastline from Gibsons north to Egmont along the east side of the the Strait of Georgia is known as the Sunshine Coast. It is a region with a mild, dry and semi-Mediterranean climate that has been attractive to settlement and industry throughout the ages. Despite these pressures, however, the Sunshine Coast continues to provide a number of superb wilderness experiences for paddlers of all abilities. From the ideal learning environment of Sechelt Inlet to the exposed 32 km (20 mi.) coastline between Gibsons and Sechelt, the Sunshine Coast offers some of the best paddling experiences in southwestern British Columbia."
