It is very important you dress appropriately for your course. Your comfort level will dictate how much you learn and how much you enjoy your course. If you have any questions regarding the above lists please contact us.

Jericho Beach Courses

Our Jericho Beach location is equipped with changerooms and (unlocked) storage space. There are washrooms in the Jericho Sailing Centre, about a 5 minute walk from our hut.

  • waterproof rain jacket with hood
  • warm sweater or light jacket
  • sun hat, sunscreen, sunglasses with secured neck string
  • change of clothes (including footwear)
  • nutritious lunch and water bottle
  • towel & bathing suit (for under a wetsuit if applicable to course)
  • money for pay parking
  • please bring comfortable shoes for in the kayak, your shoes will get wet. (sport sandals work best) - footwear is mandatory in all courses.
  • clothing material should be quick drying nylon or synthetic.

English Bay Courses

Our English Bay location is right on the beach. This location has limited storage space, so please leave everything at home or in the car. Everything you bring may get wet. There are facilities to change and washrooms close by.

  • change of clothes (including footwear)
  • nutritious lunch and water bottle
  • towel & bathing suit (for under a wetsuit if applicable to course)

Granville Island Courses

Our Granville Island location is on bustling Granville Island. Parking is free for 3 hours on the island, or pay parking is available. There is one changeroom and one washroom available, and some amount of storage space.

  • sun hat, sunscreen, sunglasses with secured neck string
  • change of clothes (including footwear)
  • nutritious lunch and water bottle
  • towel & bathing suit (for under a wetsuit if applicable to course)
  • money for pay parking
  • please bring comfortable shoes for in the kayak, suitable for the weather conditions (i.e. old running shoes or sport sandals) - footwear is mandatory in all courses.
  • clothing material should be quick drying nylon or synthetic.

Vancouver Aquatic Centre Courses

  • towel
  • appropriate clothing for the pool (bathing suit or wet-suit, shorts etc.)
  • suitable footwear for a pool environment (i.e. sport sandals or aqua socks)
  • parking available on street or in Aquatic Centre Pay Parking Lot

Multiday Courses and Tours

You will be provided with a full packing list at the time of booking for all multi day tours and lessons. In most cases you are responsible for providing your personal items such as clothing and sleeping equipment (sleeping bag and sleeping pad).
