Course Description:
A VHF Radio Maritime License is required by law if you use a VHF (fines up to $5000 can be given for non compliance). A VHF radio is a vital piece of safety equipment allowing you to receive safety messages put out by other boaters and the Coast Guard, get the latest weather report or make a telephone call. At the end of this course you will be able to communicate and summon help from the Coast Guard with the VHF radio using proper radio procedure. Don't depend on your cell phone in the case of an emergency, other boaters may not hear your call for HELP!

- No Experience Necessary
- 16 years of age

- Power Squadron VHF Operators License
