Course Description:
SKGABC Level 1 Guides are trained to lead day trips in sheltered waters. Participants will review a wide range of basic boat handling and rescue skills, record and interpret the weather, navigate by piloting, and refine group leadership, communication, and safety management skills. This program is accredited by the SKGABC, and includes the Level 1 Guide Exam. Successful Candidates can upgrade to Assistant Overnight Guide by completing the Assistant Overnight Guide (AOG) Upgrade course.
