Each boat shipment is a little different, but please consider the following guidelines when having a boat shipped. To provide you an accurate quote on the cost we will require your full shipping address. Please indicate if this is a business or residential address as this will affect the cost. We will contact the shipping companies we have worked with successfully in the past and provide you with the best rate possible. In order to ensure boats arrive undamaged they are wrapped in numerous layers of bubble wrap and cardboard. The cost for this is $50 per boat. All shipments are CIP (Carriage and Insurance Paid To) your address. This means that: Ecomarine pays the freight and insurance for the carriage of the goods to the named destination. The risk of loss of or damage to the goods, as well as any additional costs due to events occurring after the time the goods have been delivered to the carrier, is transferred from Ecomarine to the buyer when the goods have been delivered into the custody of the carrier. If subsequent carriers are used for the carriage to the agreed upon destination, the risk passes when the goods have been delivered to the first carrier. The CIP term requires Ecomarine to clear the goods for export. All boat shipments to the U.S. require the buyer to provide their Social Security number for customs clearance. For credit card payments, a signed credit card authorization form must be returned to us before we will ship the boat. We can e-mail or fax this form to you. U.S. customers also have the option of picking up boats in Blaine, WA. The cost for this service is $150 for 1 boat or $200 for 2 boats to the same person including wrapping. You can either meet our driver personally, or pick the boat up Monday to Friday 9:30am – 4:00pm at our warehouse facility located at #8 14th Street Blaine, WA. 98230 Boats shipped internationally are not subject to any Canadian provincial or federal taxes except on shipping costs. Any duty, importing fee, or tax imposed by the destination country is the responsibility of the buyer. Boats shipped to the U.S. are Canadian tax and duty free except on shipping costs.
